Short Biography of Thomas Alva Edison

The great inventor Thomas Alva Edison was born in Milan, Ohio State, USA today, on February 11, 1847. 

His Father`s name is Samuel Ogden Edison and his Mother`s name is Nancy Edison. His mother taught him to read and write. His father was a Lighthouse keeper. 

He went to school for a short time. His mother taught him to read and write. He built his first laboratory only at the age of 10. Edison needed money for Experiments. But they had no money. Due to lack of money, he also sold newspapers and vegetables. Started the experiment, after failing thousands of times, he made the first bulb at a cost of  40,000 US Dollars (29,11,742 INR ).

Thomas Edison achieved a record number of 1,093 patents. This great scientist made many big inventions. He died on 18 October 1931.
